Higher difficulty requires you to pay more attention about whats going on during combat, your positioning, what skills you have for dealing with certain enemy encounters.
Just be sure to equip the best possible gear that u have, visit shops regularly and invest in some crowd control abbilities of your squad like: singularity, force push, lift etc.
U can always lower the difficulty if the gameplay becomes tiresome.
Not really. Legendary edition is much easier than the originals. Granted, there are some tight spots, but the threat they pose is not even remotely near how it used to be.
ME3 can be hard but you can make OP builds or get OP squadmate builds. (Eg.Garrus Ascends to Godhood).
ME1 is only hard at early lvls, but becomes easier as you lvl up.
You can always downgrade the difficulty if you find it too hard.
Also doing so will spoil your enjoyment of the games.
I say go for insanity right away, worst case scenario read a guide for ME2 (or just use kasumi and bind her abilities on your action bars).
ME3 is ridiculously easy with good guns on squadmates, Shepard also has a ton of options to become a demi god.
