The next trigger is to go back to the elevator section and in the scanning room bailey will give feedback which registers all that stuff has been done. If I save my file somewhere in between there... for whatever reason, Bailey doesn't register the quest complete at that check point and it just stays undone even though I've done everything else.
Took me a while to learn to run that whole sequence without saving until Bailey confirms the quest completion. Not terrible, but tedious cause it's subtle if you're focused on war assets and not aware of Bailey's trigger to confirm stuff. Testing it though, If I save in between that sequence of events... it never completes.
Everything else... if there's a problem it's so obvious it's easy enough to reload and run it again.
I was going through Mass Effect 2 on the "Insanity" difficulty (I wanted an achievement), it took me about 40 hours of real time to slowly complete the game, but after I completed the last mission, I was given literally all the necessary achievements, except for what they give for completing on "Insanity".
For 40 hours I hid behind shelters and prayed that I would not be killed for 6 shots, just so that in the end I would not get an achievement for it. It's not that "Insanity" is incredibly difficult, it's just that this problem has ruined everything. I even wrote to the EA forum, but I did not find there how to solve this problem.
I think I'll have to start the game all over again, but I still wanted to go to Renegade as a biotic, so...
(I'm mainly talking about the multiple side quests)
