Literally can't start this. SOLVED

Thank you EA app for making sure I can't play this :)

EDIT: EA app is the problem. What worked for me is uninstalling the EA app through Apps and Programs and then pressing play on steam. It does a fresh install of the EA app and after 15ish seconds it launched. Hopefully this works for others,

It's odd and must be a Steam problem because I have the old Mass effect 3 on my EA app and that launches just fine through it.
This game launched through the app opens Steam but wont run it and Steam wont run it either. Tries to open the app with an empty box and fails.
Useless.

OK so try this. Go to the top left cnr of the EA app and set to offline mode.
Close the EA app.
Launch through Steam.
Maybe something was just busted and started working regardless but mine launches now.

Uh, people don't care about what some random thinks. I doubt they'll even read this topic. If someone is interested in the game, they'll look at the reviews, not some thread in the forum, to make their decision.

You should know though, the EA app works fine and whatever problem you're dealing with is on your end.

I'm just letting you know that this topic is pointless. I realize you posted this for attention, but still, it's your own fault for not being able to launch the game and no potential buyer is going to be dissuaded from buying after reading your post. If that was your goal, you did a pretty poor job.

Totally my fault. Googling this and I can see that tons of other people are also unable to launch the game. My fault too, I made their pcs do that

Was it pointless? Because I had the same issue and came here looking for a fix and found this thread while looking for a solution. Found something that seemed to help (but might just be coincidence) and posted how. So maybe it achieved something.
I did nothing wrong and I couldn't launch it via the EA app or the Steam launcher and if you think that's my fault for not knowing without being told that setting the EA app to offline mode and then closing it would fix it then you need help.

You must be new on Steam lol. If you check pretty much every game's discussion hub, you're bound to run into a lot of topics crying about not being able to launch/play the game. That doesn't mean there's something actually wrong with the game, it's usually just people who are too lazy to troubleshoot and either ignorant of their specs being inadequate or oblivious to something else that's preventing them from running the game properly.

In 99% of cases, it's the fault of the person complaining and not something legitimately wrong with the game, so I would suggest you spend less time here and more time troubleshooting. Or, you could refund if you can't be bothered. Either way, creating such topics here does nothing for you.
