The game just downloaded a little over 400 MB for me. Does anyone know if this is an official update (and not just e.g. VC++) and what it does?

Updated EA App Installer. I got the same update for ME3 2012, Dead Space 3 and Titanfall 2.

Don't expect any updates for the game anymore, there won't even be bug fixes, let alone content.

I noticed an update for this, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition. Those are the BioWare games I have on Steam that require the EA app. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition didn't have updates. Perhaps the update means we don't need the dumb EA app anymore, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part lol
