Shepard keeps dying in Destroy ending

In all playthroughs I have high EMS (above 4000) and last time I have 6700 but even then Shepard dies in the destroy ending, I don't really know why.

The "secret" ending, more or less require you to get every war asset. So max Paragon or Renegade, while doing everything.

no you just need a minimum of 7.800 - 8.000 war assets

Seen posts saying you need closer to 8000.

In other words, you need to get all the war assets possible, as there is only around 9500 war assets in the entire game and some of them are mutual exlusives, like saving the Council vs holding back your ships.

I had about 7500 & didnt get Shep lives.
Need to do all those planet scans lol

Thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate the help. The ME wiki states you need plus 3800+, I think, to unlock ending and I usually get maxed Paragon or Renegade in game

the wiki says ~4000 for the original game (without extended cut). & 7800 for the Legendary Edition for "best" ending

My War asset was 8183 , and Shepard Lives. So I think it's confirmed that 8000 will give you, also according to Wiki in LE the requirement is 7800. The decisions of previous games also matters here in Legendary Edition .
