Bad optimization/Low fps
Doesn't matter what i do this game runs on less than 60 fps 90% of the time and even goes below 20fps. If it were stable 30 i could get past it but for some reason it can't.

My specs are ryzen 5 3600, 1660 super i saw people have same issues even with better rigs. For now i have only touched ME1 and people seem to have similar issue with ME1 only.

Don't know if it will get better with next patches or sb will find out a way to help it. For now i have disabled every unnecessary graphics option, disabled origin overlay, set task priority to high, and unplugged any unnecessary peripherals. And it seems to solve problems for majority.

Same.

I am still on the first mission, and not even far into it, troubleshooting the game since the first minute of playing.

It starts with 120 FPS (locked) and after ~30 seconds it blows down to 14-21 FPS and stays there, no matter what. Loading savegame doesnt fix it, returning to main menu doesnt fix it. Just a full game restart brings it back to 120 FPS, but then again, after ~30 seconds - dudum. ~14 FPS.

Tried everything I could find and can imagine, turned off every piece of software not necessary leaving me with only nvidia and sound driver. Didnt help, turning off every in-game overlay, setting the V-Sync to adaptive sync, turning off gsync, turning off additional monitors, disconnecting xbox controller, full screen, borderless, playing with ingame graphic options. Nothing helps, the FPS breaks down to unplayable after a few seconds ingame. I'm gonna wait a week for a patch and then I am gonna refund. Really sad.

I have a i7 9750H / ASUS RTX 2060 / 32 GB RAM and no lag at all.

Now I am running on a Samsung 970 Pro drive to, and I have heard that running of a standard HD causes bad lag with any newer game. Also check background programs, because I kill dropbox and skype before I jump into a game. Next I have v466.47 drivers and am on the latest 21h1 Win 10 release.

Too late for my refund now ;p at least from what ive heard its all about me1 tho. Also odd thing buy my fps managed to get from 20 to 30 after ive completed a major mission on Citadel it still pains me but at least its some progress lol.

It is also double odd since it happens to few people out there but all have in common rather newer gpus plus cpus. I either i bet its got something to do with optimization for particular gpu+cpu setup only have seen people complaining with nvdia + ryzen gen 3 or 5 pairing but that might be a coincidence or bioware not fully optimizing the game for newer rigs. I bet it even pains you more with high end pc lul.

Yeah stuttering is pretty bad. I'll be driving in the Mako, move the camera, and massive stutter. I hold the camera still at position of where stuttering was and the framerates go back up. I hope Bioware has a patch in the works!

gtx 1070 and this is my issue. Game runs well otherwise and very cool temps (40 to 60). compared to other games (76-82 1070s can run hot). I tried turning off vsync and setting to 240 frames which fixed the stutters mostly but my temp shot up to 84 degrees which I am not comfortable with as a constant temp so I am dealing with stutters in the Mako also and vsync on .

Yeah ^^

I really hope there will be a patch for that, if it would ""just"" stutter I would be happy, but 14-21 FPS is just unplayable, would not be happy with 30fps but I would play it - because I know its a ME1 only problem. Sadly I never played the Mass Effect Trilogy and waited for the LE to catch up on the series. So its not even an option for me to skip ME1.

Could be it yeah, not the first game/software/hardware having major trouble with new ryzen or new nvidia gen. If you were lucky in the beginning to get one of those for a """"reasonable"""" price, the games now ♥♥♥♥ on you : D

Im just really curious what the problem is, never experienced smth like that, such a massive drop from 120 to ~14-21 FPS and it stays there, so its not even bouncing, its a one way drop, and always after 20-30 seconds no matter what you do ingame. I survived the release state of Cyberpunk, I will survive that :P

did you try closing the launcher when the splash screen of the game you started me123 pops up?
Israly May 18, 2021 @ 1:37pm
there is something wrong clearly, sometimes fps just dip like when looking at a particular place, in my case it goes from 144 to 40 or even 30 sometimes, im playing with a 1080ti and a i7 7700k.
look away and fps goes to normal, funny thing is the places where i look doesnt seem to have anything special, its clearly an optimization issue.

im playing on a 4th gen intel i7 4770k and a gtx 1080ti @ 4k desktop also at 4k but i have a 60hz monitor have vsync on and i get 60 with very minor dips down to 52

I've ran this on my SSD and HD and there's almost no difference in loading times and zero difference in performance.

Only issue I had with framedrops was in the Mako in ME1 (seems to be a prevalent issue regardless of hardware), other than that; smooth@144hz with an RTX2060,

Well nevermind did another mission on another planet during hard combat it got to about 10 fps slideshow. I can't im enjoying the game but at least dialogues are in 60 fps and tbh it will suffice but i wont replay me1 any soon tho until they fix it lol. Its unplayable but sufferable i dont expect anyone to play. but between combat i still enjoy the story since ive never played me1. Hopefully they will fix it soon otherwise merry waiting to you lul.
