controller support

Ive never played these games just installed and booted up ME1 and controller wont work and mouse wont work!!!!

I have not tried it here on Steam. I purchased through Origin and was unable to get the controller to work and was having the mouse issues. Origin refunded my money when I asked for it because they were unable to get my Xbox controller to work. I have seen on here that people are getting it to work here by forcing it to work through Steam. This may work and something for you to try.

I have an XBox360 and an XBox One controllers and they both work in the game. Didn't have to do anything. Just plugged them in and they worked.

My Xbox One controller is not working too. It tried activating it before starting the game, after starting the game, restarted Steam. Nothing worked so far. And since the Steam overlay is not working with the game, I cannot assign Keyboard inputs to the Controller either.

This is awesome. So basically I can get the gamepad (eSwap Pro) to work... for the second before the game starts and then Origin overlay starts. The fun thing? I've not only disabled Origin In-Game overlay within Origin on the per game level, I've also disabled it on the global level. Yet it still loads up before going into the actual game, making the Steam overlay / controller support break...

Update: So after starting up the game for about the 5th time, Steam overlay and my Xbox One Controller suddenly started to work.

Its an accuring problem with steam, it does for most games that support Xbox Controller.

Left click on game and select Enable Steam sontroller overlay
Than go to controller layout, and pres X to show recomanded control layouts
Select the first one "Raccomanded" and than accept.

Restart the game, it should work perfectly.

The same applys for games like Tekken 7, MK X, MK 11, Titan Fall 2

Nope, doesn't work for me. (Xbox One Controller)

Didn't work with raw PS4 controller, but worked with DS4Windows. That simulates an XBox controller so not sure why it won't work for you with a real one.

seems like randomness if it'll work or not. I've tested my eSwap Pro (basically a PS4 controller) and an xbox 360 controller. Got as far as being able to use it in the launcher and to start it up, but as soon as it launches the first game, nada.

Only have one controller type plugged into the system. I think having multiple messes it up. I had two Joysticks plugged into mine too but still needed to use the steam overlay when I was able to get my Xbox controller to work.

Honestly having controller support was one of the deciding factors in me buying this game, I am too stubborn to learn M+KB even though I know it's better for shooters. I had used a mod that enabled controllers when I played on PC before.

Yeah, I only had one plugged in at a time. Though occasionally Windows thinks my mouse is a gamepad... so that could be causing some issues. The dumb thing is, it works fine all the way up until it's actually in game...
