Launcher starts, not the games.

I wonder if other ppl got the same issue but succeeded to start the damn game.
Not gonna lie. Hugely disapointed by the quality of this. Can't even f*cking starts the games.

(launcher goes black when starting a game, then go back to the launcher after 3-4 sec of waiting).

Try this, this worked for me:

Start > Control Panel > Region > "Administrative Tools" tab > click the "Change Locale" button.
Here you have the option : "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support".

Then reboot and try starting the game.

i have this issue but only when trying to start mass efect 3.. i was in menu and mass efect 1 and 2 started, mass efect 3 your issue. 3 to 5 seconde dark screen and then return to launcher... no clue why... i refiunded with positive result

This worked for me.

This is weird, I was in the game played for like 30 minutes, saved went to eat lunch and then when I came back and launched mass effect 1 the splash screen would appear then it would go to desktop and show it on the task bar as not responding. Then I would close it and the launcher menu would appear.

This worked for me.

Glad this work. No reason to buy not working games... Time is you ca never be sure that game will work... gladly there is option to refund. i will buy when they reapir. if not... nothing to worry,. i end all me games xd

I am seriously considering buying a PS5 and just use my PC for work. I am f******g fed up of wasting hrs tinkering to get a game to work..

thats why there is option to refund.. i refunded,,, mayby buy later one more time.... if they dont reapair this issues nothing to lose. i end on 100 % all ME trillogy :)

I bought from a third party site to get the Origin key. I've asked for a refund.

I've got all the original games, so I guess I'll just download ME again and install all the graphic upgrade packs... a shame, because it's a real hassle to do that, and I was looking forward to a bug free, definitive version...

I honestly don't know what succeded for me but I've done those in that order:
- Instal Game after installing Origin.
- forced the launcher to launch as admin.
- Added Origin to the whitelist of Windows's firewall.
- Done what Shadowbummer

- Reinstal last GPU driver after I've installed the game (I was desperate XD).

For whathever reason, game works perfectly now. For ppl that can start the game and don't have HDR screens. Don't forget to switch it to off instead of automatic (on).
