Ps4 controller button prompts?

So far I've only managed to run this game with the controller configuration from steam and I was wondering if this game supports the Ps4 button prompts in game... I mean, it's a remaster and it's 2021, many games support it sho why don't I see it here?

Or am I missing something?

If it's not here I hope the modding community will carry us playstation controller users, like they always do...

Same here and mildly upset by this. The game was marketed with controller support and I was looking forward to play it on my PC using my PS4 controller. Come on guys! There is a Playstation version out there, so what's the problem?!

Because the easiest way to make the controller support on Windows is Xinput. And that means Xbox 360/Xbox One/Series controller. I'm pretty sure PS4 controller doesn't use Xinput, so no dice, unless the devs specifically add PS4 controller support.

I mean you can use it, you simply have to enable controller configuration settings (I think in big picture mode) if you do steam will make it work and mass effect will detect it as a 360 controller... I'm more upset about the button prompts not appearing

Yeah... "the easiest way" sums it up pretty good, I guess. Didn't know why I expected anything else. Considering that modern day consoles are "almost PCs" anyway, I simply don't see how this would be much work to integrate over from the Playstation version. But one just has to take a look on the graphics setting to get the gist of how much they cared.

Yeah, it's a bummer but it's still the best possible version for me, never having played the series... kinda sad though, the launcher is kinda trashy too, it just starts the selected version separately and that's it, but well... The game itself will probably be worth it :) modders will do the rest for sure, we just have to be patient or ask elsewhere so someone does it... sad though that big companies still don't have their ♥♥♥♥ together

My PS4 controller doesn't seem to work. When I use DS4 it registers as Xbox obv. but once I pick a game from that menu, it goes to said specific game's menu and then the controller doesn't work again.

Steam big picture mode --> mass effect settings --> control configuration and set that to on, should work!

Just grab the mod from Nexus, it will replace the xbox icons with playstation

There is not one available for LE on the Nexus at this time
