He isn't as far gone as the typical twitter authoritarian. But that said, I really find it hilarious that he still hasn't put two and two together in regards to twitch and youtube's policies and the asymmetric treatment certain creators are getting. It is almost like the treatment is systemic... bigoted even. Yet he either doesn't know or he does but he is remaining silent because he knows if he speaks out, he will be snuffed out just like a single snap. He, like many gaming youtubers, are opportunists that have accepted they will never be particularly great or influential, the cost to their monkey's paw is that they know if they say a certain amount in either direction, they will be out on the street and no one will hire them.

But, the thing is, many people in white collar or computer jobs are in the same position. They know who has the real power over our own culture and way of life, and it isn't the U.S. government.

If you are looking for alternatives that skip just to the gaming news while being articulate or adding opinions that are not based off of gender/race based politics, I highly recommend Bellular News and Skill Up (Shill Up). Both regularly produce videos at least twice a week and have personalities that are not grating. Skill Up also produces actual reviews every once in a while. Even though he doesn't have silly or sometimes actually funny nostalgia critic style skits that AJ utilizes, skill up's analysis style is superior by far.

I, too, let a YouTuber dictate my opinion and don't question anything myself or form my own opinion. That's why I think highly of this re-incarnation of Jesus himself - the God-given game critic.
