Paragon or Renegade?

Which would be best for a first playthough? I've been taking pretty direct but not evil choices and so far have one full block of renegade and only a tiny bit of paragon. From what I understand there is more action in renegade but unless you go paragon everyone ends up hating humans and you get less out of the overall story.

I find it funnier to be a renegade. Especially in 2 and 3 that Shepard is basically a sociopath haha but I have never be 100% renegade nor paragon. If you enjoy more to be a renegade go with that, and if you think that the paragon option is better even if you are a 90% renegade choose the paragon option.

Did both several times. Must say I had way more fun with the renegade option.

The way the games are done, you are better off being either full renegade or full paragon. Otherwise you lose on potential interactions.

If this is a first playthough I wouldn't answer based on your paragon/renegade level. Be the shepard that suits you, it's much more interesting to have lines of dialogue that match your personality.
Subsequently a rerun in renegade is obligatory ofc
