Mass Effect Trilogy remade as a stand alone game.
Hi all Citadel Citizens. Lots a talk about the new Mass Effect but I thought to my self, how cool it would be if the original trilogy was remade as a single game from start to finish. A poll could be taken to see which mechanics were the most popular and these could be implemented throughout the whole game but the story and characters would all remain unchanged. Just updated engine and graphics. How about it?

OK I admit some "small changes may be introduced" but as far as time jumps, that's easy. Like chapters in a book " 1 year later" Point being It would be cool to have a streamed lined experience.

He's just a guy that only appears in the third game? The time jumps don't affect James at all he's straight up not in ME1 or 2

If you did that, you would end up removing key elements that made each game special. You would have to rework entire areas because the explorable parts of Citadel are different in 1, 2 and 3 and it would feel prohibitive to have citadel areas 'locked' after you advance the chapters.

Normandy also gets bigger and bigger with each game, so you would also have to rework that, and you would have to add planet exploration in all 3 games or remove from all 3 because, again, it would feel prohibitive to be able to explore them in 1 but not in 2 and 3.

It would also completely destroy the pacing of each game so you would have to rework dialogue and story for it to work. Mass Effect 2 is very focused and short compared to 1 and 3, it's much more action packed, so to go from the more methodical exploring nature of 1 to the action packed nature of 2 would feel weird since you still have the entirety of 3 to beat and that is also a slower game than 2, + rework the story DLCs that are also essential to the stories.

You are essentialy asking for Legendary Edition but worse.

It also makes no sense to remake these games if you're not going to remake the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending

Fair points but all said and done what I love most about Mass Effect was not individual games but the story and setting as a whole. In saying that, this will obviously never happen but hopefully ME4 will be the game we all hope it will be:slimetabby:
