ME1 (Soldier or Infiltrator)
ME2 (Infiltrator but soldier is still decent)
ME3 (vanguard)

soldier is always reliable but is a bit boring, infiltrator takes a bit of setup in ME1 but performs great out of the gate in ME2 allowing you to trivially one shot nearly everything on insanity. soldier is still good in ME2 but I feel like the versatility of weapons to deal with health types is kind of something all classes have basic access to and more specialized classes are stronger out of the gate and scale well enough to be a better choice. Vanguard is absolutely nuts in ME3 being that if setup properly it can spam charge constantly having a near 0 cool down for the ability if not 0 cool down making you near invincible. pair this with ice ammo and the shotgun pistol (Talon) you can trivially kill everything instantly while never being at any risk of dying even on insanity. couple this with god Garrus and Liara for priming your chain bombs and insanity is a joke.
add venom shotgun and you can kill enemies fast enough that the game's scripting will bug out and you'll have to restart missions. B)

Anything but Vanguard.

vanguard is really busted in ME3 and Andromeda though, given you know how to build the class.

Never played Andromeda, don't care, we're talking about ME:LE here. Vanguard is the worst class in the trilogy, unless you're playing on piss-easy difficulty. The whole concept of Vanguard is silly, you're going in with Biotic Charge alone, left surrounded by enemies with your allies nowhere near you.

ME3 gave them Nova, which makes it a bit more useful, but still ultimately a pointless pick when there are much superior classes to pick.

interesting because I beat the trilogy on insanity deathless as vanguard, sounds like you don't know how the class works.

Your anecdotal personal experience doesn't interest me in the least. Vanguard remains among the worst classes in the trilogy, if not the worst, objectively.

except it's not, by using the charge ability even if you get hit you recover all your shields that you lost while one shottting the enemy at the other end. if you know how to use chainbombs using Liara or Joker's Robot Lady Friend as a primer you can trivially shred every enemy and then move on to the next continually. this allows you to literally become functionally invincible regardless of difficulty. This does require you build around decreasing CD and running a powerful low weight weapon like the Talon but I mean... if you refuse to build and play the class correctly of course you will have issues. But realistically Vanguard and Infiltrator are the most powerful classes but in ME3 where chainbombing becomes a thing Vanguard becomes the obvious choice.

also my anecdotal experience proves the point that it isn't going to get you killed in the way you claim and that the class is very strong if it makes insanity a joke in terms of difficulty.
I would reccomend learning how to make use of the mechanics and class kit so you can have a better understanding of the game and then vanguard will make a lot of sense as a choice.

No thanks, I'd rather play the better classes. Thanks for the laugh though, that paragraph of your triggered rant defending Vanguard was a fun read.

that projection is kino ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just trying to help out a fellow player so they can enjoy more of the game and get better replay value. if that upsets you I am sorry.

For insanity I did the engineer run (or whatever it is called for the three games in english)
Must say the third game was really easy with turret + drone

The two times I needed to replay multiple times were for the Kai Leng boss fight
(I have still no idea what keys you're suppose to press when he aggro you hand-to-hand to one shot you... but I realized by spaming keys you can actually repel him ? then it was way easier LOL)
And for the citadel dlc, I had the great idea to took a weapon I didn't like + wrex and wa snot ready to fight and always running out of ammos aha

just use the venom shotgun for kai leng, makes him a joke of a fight
I found sentinal best suited me.
Me:1 baston statis plus huge barriers,
Me:2 not my favout but again sentinal with sniper.
Me:3 sentinal with reave.

Soldier is again nothing huge. just lots of weapons go pew pew.

Vangaurd is meh. I see chain bombing but still feels meh, made me hate the auto cover alot, sprinting and then if you get too close to a walls edge or some knee high stuff. Just run press sqaurds number then blink in. And ether kill straglers or keep moving.

Engineer just feels better after you get talis extra stuff.
