Start the game and get to the game selection screen. (Mass Effect 1,2, or 3). Alt tab out,
and open the EA app. Go to the top left of the window, click the three lines, and Go Offline.
That will allow you to get steam achievements again. You will need to do this every time you open the game. If you've been playing with EAapp online, your GameProfile will still have the achievements unlocked, so steam can't unlock them again. To fix this:
In file explorer go to: Documents-Bioware-Mass Effect Legendary Edition-Save-Mass Effect 2 or 3. You'll see a file called GamerProfile. Make a back up of it just in case, then delete it. Now your achievement progress will be reset, allowing you earn them again. Keep in mind this does reset things like use Overload on shielded enemies 100 times etc.
Yes- I do have the EA overlay turned on, tried turning it off, still didn't work. I get the GeForce Experience overlay, but not Steam...
