Achievements Not Going Through
Just now finished my first run through the trilogy on LE. Finished on one save file, completed the games, paramour'd in all three games. Got concerned when I realized I didn't get any notifications for completing the game. Went through the list and realized I haven't been getting achievements.

Achievements I've completed, but haven't "earned":
Executioner, Patriot, Legend, Hijacker, The One and Only, Paramour III, and Long-Service Medal.
There may be more, but these I know for a fact they should have gone through - especially seeing how they're all (except for Hijacker) unavoidable in the story and DLC.

Anyone having an issue with achievements not popping? I understand there's been a lot of issues with achievements for LE in general recently, so I'm not sure if this is unique or in the same umbrella. Any advice would be great, this is the one game I actually want to 100%.

Start the game and get to the game selection screen. (Mass Effect 1,2, or 3). Alt tab out,
and open the EA app. Go to the top left of the window, click the three lines, and Go Offline.

That will allow you to get steam achievements again. You will need to do this every time you open the game. If you've been playing with EAapp online, your GameProfile will still have the achievements unlocked, so steam can't unlock them again. To fix this:

In file explorer go to: Documents-Bioware-Mass Effect Legendary Edition-Save-Mass Effect 2 or 3. You'll see a file called GamerProfile. Make a back up of it just in case, then delete it. Now your achievement progress will be reset, allowing you earn them again. Keep in mind this does reset things like use Overload on shielded enemies 100 times etc.

Afaik achievements are bugged thanks to new EA app, i didn't get a single one for ME 2 and for ME 3 as well which im currently playing. There's a fix tho which requires you to reverting back to origin but its not a permanent solution.

Yeah man, I kinda do actually - not really up date with a lot of things on discussion boards. I've been going through them just now, and thankfully a lot of them have been helpful, unlike you.

This guide is easily the best I've found so far regarding EA achievement workarounds. I'll leave it here for easy access, in case someone else needs it :)

Do you have to delete the file GamerProfile every time you start the game or just the EA offline part?
Rayray51one May 2, 2023 @ 6:35am
You only need to delete the GamerProfile again if you accidentally start up the game without going offline. You do have to go offline every time. Remember to go offline on the screen where you choose which game to play, Mass Effect 1, 2, or 3.

For anyone curious I can confirm it's no longer neccesery to use this fix, I'm getting achievements on both steam and ea app for MELE 2. The only thing that bugs me is that when I played with ea app overlay disabled, I only got steam achievement pop up once, other times it's only a sound and no pop up (achievemnts still unlocks, when I check steam overlay). When I turned ea app overlay on, it's own pop up appear. I would guess ea app overlay takes precedent even if disabled, but at least I'm getting achievements and I see pop ups.

The EA titles I tried launch fine, but no Steam overlay, turns out the newest EA app update messed with things, so EA just lost a customer. Their app has always been wonky for me, I often have to launch Jedi Survivor more than once to get it to launch, before, I would launch it through the EA app & still get the Steam Overlay, but not anymore. Through Steam or EA = no overlay.

Yes- I do have the EA overlay turned on, tried turning it off, still didn't work. I get the GeForce Experience overlay, but not Steam... :steamfacepalm:
