Long story short: I hate it when publishers pull stunts like these and for once EA seems to madenit at least a minimum hassle.
I know I have to launch the game from desktop mode each time there is an update, because the setting of the EA launcher does not work well in gaming mode (♥♥♥♥ EA, seriously). The first launch I do in desktop mode, and then I can launch the game from gaming mode.
At this point you could also just pirate the game. I mean EA is literaly punishing you for buying their game through their horrible DRM. You've already lost precious hours of your life because they are trash. Their service is as comfortable as a bear trap, and anti-consumer as hell. EA punishes the buyers. ♥♥♥♥'em.
That is great to hear. Happy its finally working!
