Who do you expect to fix it? Game developers?

They will never do that.

There is a DLC made by modders though:
https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/832

I am not aware whether it needs any fixing by your standards.

Um, not following game closely so how can I know? After all, that was precisely point of my question. I had distant idea that there were issue...

Ok, so it is still missing. Well with all the remastered, definitive editions etc around..who would expect new DLC for AoE II ;-) for example..

Anyway, thank you for answer. Great that there is workaround but I will probably pass for some more years then.. :)

It's not "missing," in the sense that it's going to one day be formally added. That isn't going to happen. Not to mention it's not even one of the better DLCs. Your loss though.

The devs clearly stated at the time of MELE's release that they'd somehow lost the code for Pinnacle Station and therefore it wouldn't return. Notwithstanding this, some fans managed to reconstruct it and it's available as a Nexus mod, as stated by @HK-47.

If that's not good enough, well, I don't know what else to say, since @WhateverWorks has already said what I might have otherwise added.

No. The developers have stated that they will not ever fix this DLC, because they don't have the resources to remaster it. Waiting for them to fix it will do nothing, because they will not fix it.

If you're going to delay buying this game until it is fixed, then you will never buy this game. Either get the game on sale and use the excellent mod that faithfully recreated the missing DLC, or play the game without the DLC.

From what I recall, they discovered the code was corrupted when they were trying to port that DLC over to PlayStation, but the company they paid for secure backups also had a corrupted version of that DLC. As such, they just kind of went "oh well" and didn't worry about it.

From personal experience, I can confirm that the mod is practically identical to the DLC. I even booted up my XBox 360 for some side by side comparisons and I was impressed.

Do you boo but putting off mass effect for pinnacle station of all things is one of the weirdest stances I've ever heard

I own already all three games, DLCs on Origin...Played and finished before they even added "new" red ending. So don´t take it like being spoiled. Peace out :)

There is nothing to be "fixed". The DLC will never be added to LE, due to loss of the source code for it. This has been known ever since release, it's weird you still were unaware of it.

Why, I finished all games long time ago. Wanted to check situation if I should buy it or not now...there were no reason to follow every game I finished previously. :)

As others have said, passing on LE because of one extremely skippable DLC is an overreaction at best.

ok...your opinion. Mine is mine :) and with that farewell.

No idea why you're being so disingenuous this whole thread when you came in asking a question to begin with but once again, do you boo.

all that aside, I still can't wrap my head around how a multi-billion dollar company with hundreds, if not thousands of servers and dozens of infrastructure managers can ever lose access to crucial data such as source code for in-house software.

It's hard to say without knowing specifics, but I'll hazard a safe guess. Budget issues probably made it unappealing for them to keep an off-site copy of the DLC source code from back in the day, so they didn't. It sucks that it was lost, but truthfully, I can live with the loss, considering that DLC was basically just a cringe arena mode.
