Global Achievements

So, the EA App is now mandatory.
Up until this evening I've been running MEL from Origin, though when it wanted updating last week I ran it in offline mode and the games ran fine. Now it seems I can't play at all until I install the EA App.

Install Origin app, don't run it, if it runs, kill it via Task Manager (or with fire, whichever is easiest)

Save file (as .xml, not .txt!)

Run Origin. EA Popup is now gone!

You can run Mass Effect from here or from Steam. Achievements are back! Woohoo!

I hope they fixed the no Achievements unlocking on EA.

I hope so too, I only have Cerberus HQ and Priority Earth left in ME3! I've installed the app now just to continue so if achievements are still bugged I'm gonna be p*ssed off.

I'm at a loss for words, 100h playing this game and my main opponent has been the EA app so far

I don't care if i got to use Origin or EA app, but i want the achievements to work >.<

Guys im pretty sure achievements will not work. If you check Extras in the main menu it shows all achievements as unlocked again meaning they will not pop on steam...

if they wanted to fix the problem they would have fixed the problem instead of making the only fix not work anymore

Why do I need an app for something I don't use to play a game I have played through more times than I can remember? Because the f ing thing won't start without it now. Great, guess I won't be playing MELE again.

Yep. Same here. Just put 100 hours into this thing and now I can't get the achievements for ME3.

I've reported the game as broken citing the achievement mechanism as an advertised part of the game that does not work as intended with the required third party DRM.
