Mass Effect 1 How to stop my squad from killing innocents on CHohe
I have to kill some renegades, but there are insane civilians that I am not supposed to kill wandering around.

How do I stop my squad from killing them? They just start shooting and using powers .

Anyway, if memory serves, there's a hallway leading to the large room with the renegades and civilians.

Once you go into that room, turn around and go back through the hallway to the previous area and order your team to take cover by the door. The renegades will just run to you into the hallway for easy kills without having to worry about the civilians.

It's a cheese tactic, I'll admit, but the easiest way to guarantee no civilian casualties.

Essentially what Lucifer says.

Order your squad into cover in the hall leading to the big room, and if you shoot your weapon into the big room (at a wall), then most of the enemies should *activate* and run towards your position.

Just did this on legendary difficulty last week and i managed to kill all but 2 of the terrorists thia way. Then i managed to kill the last 2 without killing any civilians.

Thank you! I've been stuck here for ages trying to get past it.

Yeah you need to open door shoot a round off, go back into room, position your teams and wait for them to come to you. Shoot them while they are in the corridor.

I think 3 are left that don't follow so you have to flank them by going to the left side to avoid them from hitting anyone. Also turn off squad power off just in case.

Unfortunately it's probably the only method you can do with this scenario. They will keep dying if you went in there. I tried a bunch of times and nothing worked sadly.

Keep your squad in the first room, the room before the enemies are in. Move forward, shoot until you hear they aggro on you. Fall back to your squad and kill as many as show up in the hallway.

First, make sure you've loaded the gas grenades and not any other kind (I sometimes forget!).

Second, there is a dialogue with your teammates just before you go into the original facility--I think it's right after you get attacked by plant-zombies while you're still on the Skyway in the Mako--where you direct them either to kill or spare the colonists.

It's also best to gas the colonists before you advance at each stage. There are alternating waves of plant-zombies and colonists and you should gas the colonists before you start shooting.

The only place where this can get awkward is in the initial part in the hangar garage, but I deal with it by hitting the gate button and then quickly reboarding the Mako, after which I move forward just enough to block the door. You then kill all the plant-zombies and exit the Mako.

At this point there's a pair of colonists shooting at you from above, but you should be tough enough to take it long enough to get close enough to them to gas them. Easiest is to run around the back of the Mako--they can't hit you there--and then up the ramp so you can gas them without hitting the cover they're using.

This isn't the Feros mission. This is the mission that Admiral Hackett gives when you are on the Normandy. You land on the planet and have to go a secret lab. In the lab area, there are scientists that are standing and there are biotic terrorists in the room.

If you go in the room with your squad the scientists get killed almost immediately. To keep them from killing the scientists you need to aggro them and let them come to you drawing them away from the scientists, so they don't attack them while they are trying to attack you.
