Does editing saves disable achievements?

If someone has already answer this I'm sorry as I tried looking around and couldn't find an answer, I've been replaying the trilogy through this legendary collection. I want to alter my save from ME2 when I finish it so my character levels ends at level 3 instead of 30 so when I reach Mars or the moon (I forget which area you ended up right after earth) in ME3 I'll level up to level 5.

Just wanted to know if I did this an important this save would achievements still be enabled or would they disable because I edited the save file

I really don't know about all achievements (like Insanity I+II+III, as many folks had problems with those), but I can confirm that editing the game save file(s) with Trilogy Save Game editor from Nexus does NOT disable achievements, as I did it for Conrad Verner's "Gun in face" bug in ME1 to ME2 save game transfer and in ME3 I forgot to warn Kelly to change her appearance and edited that flag also, and got all achievements after that, that I would normally get! So, it works! ;-)
