I believe that the best relationships are the ones with the characters that are in your crew for the entire game, softing Jack is very cute, Miranda also is often discarded because of her appellative look but gaining her trust is rewarding.
I'm a simple man and choose Tali I believe that the female Shep gets the worse batch of characters for compensate for best boy Garus.
PS: I hate the shadow broker ending at MF2, makes Shep depressed for Liara even if you never expressed interest on her, seems that Bioware wanted to shove their relationship to us at any cost.
1. I'm a dude, I always play Fem Shep and don't date dudes.
2. Tali and Garrus get together, Joker and EDI get together, and Ashley and Vega get together. Picking Liara achieves maximum Normandy romance.
On-Topic: Well, like 5ean5ean up there, I've only ever played FemShep, and only ever gone with Liara. To be blunt about it, it feels like Liara's about as close to a "canon" partner for Shepard as I can find, considering all she puts herself through in the time between ME1 and ME2 just because she refuses to let Shep go.
During the party in the Citadel DLC.

One of the best romances was with Kelly in ME2, but apparently that one doesn't count...
I've thought about doing a short romance with Thane on ME2 and if it had been possible for him to stick around in ME3 I might have done it already (maybe)
But in the end, I can't bring myself to go with anyone but my sexy Canadian.
EDIT: While I'm here, I just want to say that there was definitely a missed opportunity for an interesting romance path in ME1 for having started with your human squadmate first, but then left your human love interest on Virmire. I could actually see this going pretty smoothly for a BroShepXAshley scenario, but I'd imagine that the repeated meldings done by FemShep could help ease a FemShep that tried with Kaidan but then had to leave him into a romance with Liara.
I figure it'd be best to determine whether this would be possible based on interactions with T'Soni immediately after Noveria. I wonder if anyone ever tried making a mod for such a romance path...
In all my games he always survive, I find is personality in check with the lore and when he corrects his bio implant he get way better, I only find weird he becaming homossexual out of blue on MF3
Plus throughout the rest of ME2 and ME3 she easily acts the cutest and has that adorable/clumsy trait without being incompetent at the same time. The only absolutely CRIMINAL part of her romance is that she's HARD locked to 50% story progress for Mass Effect 2 and 3. It's a tease in ME2 since you straight up meet her face to face early on, but then have to come back later to recruit her, but ME3 is worse by locking her behind Priority: Perseus Veil, which can ONLY come after Priority: The Citadel II and Priority: Tuchanka, which lock out a TON of war asset side-missions if you rush them down.
I also hate that I basically have to break her heart to give her the best ending for her people as a whole. I love Tali, and she loves Shepard, but she's also incredibly dedicated to her own race as well to the point that she immediately commits suicide if they die. Making peace with the Geth is immeasurably helpful to the Quarians in every possible way, and the ONLY ending Shepard "lives" in is Perfect Destroy, which also annihilates all of the Geth, removing any chance of the Quarians being able to live outside of their suits in Tali's lifetime.
ME2: Jack
ME3: Jack
Not meaning to make a big deal of it, but since you can romance Kaidan as FemShep in ME1, presumably that makes him bisexual.
Hey...I didn't come up with this taxonomy! :-)
I used to pick Liara (as FemShep) for a very long time, but after a while I realized she was more interested in her vast array of info than in me, and that got old.
Actually knew a woman like that, so it was kinda...personal, ya know what I mean ?!?
Nowadays I generally skip the romance aspects completely, although I did experiment a bit in ME:LE just to get the achievements...wound up doing Kaidan in MELE1, Garrus in MELE2, and the toothbrush chick in MELE3.
The last one was kinda by accident, I'd plighted my troth to Garrus and then chatted up the toothbrush girl, and suddenly it was like Garrus just didn't want to even talk to me any more--getting a lot of "calibrations" on that freqe. So I figured, oh well...guess I'll go back to the toothbrush babe! :-)
Nah, I didn't see it that way. She hesitated in taking the reigns, but realized it was too much to pass up because it could help Shepard. She said so herself, if I remember right.
I never got the impression that she had other motives at all. While she is a scientist, and there are things that interest/motivate her, she made it clear in ME1 that these were not her reasons for being interested in him. The dialogue makes it clear that she has a huge soft spot for Shepard, and she's 100% loyal to him. Keep in mind that she got into the info business as a result of going after Shepard's body. Did anybody else go after his body? No. And while she had no love for Cerberus, she gave his body to them, knowing they may be able to bring him back. Thus she wasn't as shocked as some were, that he was alive, when he meets her on Illium.
Tali is my absolute favourite. No question. She embodies everything that I like in women and has such a good heart. I mostly play as Male, but I can see the appeal of Garrus for Femshep as they go through a lot together.
