If you think they do, they do to you.
On the other hand, some people think a soul is something you have if you express sentience or reason. What is a soul, other than the very essence of your being?
Sounds like he may have. He was diffent from other geth?
The better question is are the sentiment?
All indications in game are yes. Everything points to them being as self-aware and sentient as organics.
The idea that can't be sentient simply because they are synthetic is as backwards as the idea humans are magically different from other animals and we have magic immortal souls that go live with sky-daddy after we die.
It's not based on facts or science, but religious nonsense.
Organics are just electrochemical machines, meat computers.
Besides, a soul is a human concept and there is no reason to think that alien races have their equivalent of the same believe too. So again, no souls to be found anywhere. And do all religions have it? There are thousands of those on earth alone .. so I am not sure they could all agree on what a soul actually is supposed to be.
But the Geth .. and EDI ... are clearly sentient and that is the important thing.
(I understand why a game wouldn't want to open that can of worms..just noting how weird it would be in universe)
