Any benefit to killing all thresher maws in ME1?
I've played the series a lot in the past, but I don't remember if killing them all comes up in later games. It's been a long time since I've done a full run through the series with one character save, and I can't find anything saying that there's any benefit later in the trilogy to killing all of the maws.

I'm sure equipment drops, experience, and money are benefits to doing it, but I'm maxed out on everything so I'd get nothing from that.

Really just the experience, nothing else.

A sense of pride and accomplishment.

There are no plot related flags at all connected to killing thresher maws. Not even a minor line of dialogue or an email in ME2/ME3.
You get good experience, money and drops from them, but if those are no longer relevant then neither are the Thresher Maws beyond the challenge of killing them.

It's a shame you don't become a member of Clan Urdnot.

In ME:Legendary, I had one thresher maw die (yielding the XP) but then like half-a-second later, he popped back up at 5% HP, and I killed him again, and he yielded double XP.

Okay, that's kinda what I figured. I just couldn't remember if there was some small story flag I couldn't remember or couldn't find when I was looking into it a bit ago. I know there's a few others from the first game that get mentions later on, but that's usually about it.

They drop a good chunk of monies and exp - aside from the PTSD - that's it.
The title Earth Dragon Slayer JK but you can pretend Killing them is also another way to extend gameplay & by extension further the hr to $ ratio thats important if you ask me if you can say you played a equal number of hours or more as to $ that you paid for the game you either got your money's worth or more than your money's worth on the game.

Before Legendary Edition, you had to wear them down with the Mako and then get out and finish them off on foot (if you wanted full XP).

That gave you a sense of accomplishment, at least the first dozen or so times you 100% the game.

They are good xp, but it aint enough to get you to max level in one run!

On the other hand, you are doing the galaxy a favour. Unless you kill the last one, in which case you're a genocidal maniac ;-)
