Why did everyone fancy Liara?

I think her writing (and a lot of the writing in general) improves after ME1. It's like she's a noob in ME1 but a badass two years later in ME2.

I had the opposite effect. I really liked how sweet and innocent she is before she becomes the shadow broker in ME2. That's why I end up going after Tali in ME2 and 3.

So you have Liara, the Freaky haunting character that looks humans to human. and looks like everything else to everything else... due to mind control or whatever. WeLL AT LEAST SHE HAS DLC IN ME2. and u CAN STILL date her.

If your going to DATE anyone ELSE in the entire SERIES. date Ashley. dump her and date someone in ME2 all the way to ME3 and date Tali, or Kelly, Miranda, Jack, and or Garrus.

The looks like something else to everyone else isn't even a real thing, it's just something drunks in one of the clubs are discussing that the community jumped on. The ad boards outside Choras Den show them just as you see them in game and they are the only other race in the game outside of Batarians that can wear human armour.

It is a personal problem if you get so triggered that someone else might be attracted to video game characters.
You know being a Simp won't make them open their legs for you right? You can even see good example of it in-game with the Friendzone Turian on Illum.
