What is the appeal about Tali?

I get it, she's a smoll thingy that looks up to you and always welcomes your guidance. I get the appeal.

I'm simply wondering why so many people are attracted to that specifically. Is the majority really into Tali that much more than any other character?

Yeah, i was 29 when Mass Effect 1 came out so she never really appealed to me.
I liked Liara much more, especially in 2+3 when she is more mature in her behaviour.

I dont think majority is into Tali. Liara and Garrus are way more popular.
Though I cant deny, Tali is very well-written and designed to be liked. Voice intonation, hips, personality, it is all very appealing and immersive.

I think its simply because Tali has the most "interesting dialogues" with relatively stable personality as opposed to

Liara (stable but everything Prothean)
Miranda (stable but I find her work ethics... commendable but boring)
Jack (unstable)
Ashley (ME 2 forced drama broke her)

I usually recruit Tali last without any qualms in ME2 for the Legion dialogue. I don't find her annoying, but it sucks that over half her dialogue serves to just be a Quarrian info dump. ME1 especially. She doesn't have much character outside of feelings for her people.

Because of her personality and her back story. I think she's just a really likable person. As far as because "of the players age" thing goes i'm 44 and not some tween so i am not sure what that guy was getting at.

Most of the options aren't fantastic across *both* of 2 & 3. Miranda and Jack become side characters in 3, Liara is a side character in 2. Ashley gets killed a lot in 1 by players, and barely involved in 2. And for people looking for a hetero romance Steve Cortez is obviously not an option.

Tali meanwhile is a squadmate in both games, (all three but you know what I mean). She has an interesting backstory that is entwined to varying degrees across the games.
