sound issues

so apparently when streaming people can hear the sound of the launcher but as soon as the game starts,
sound dies entirely.

any fix, anyone else having this issue?

Make sure your streaming app isn't confusing launcher with the game itself.
Maybe start streaming once the game is up.

Damn thing is running half a dozen apps (slight exaggeration) just to play the game - its obscene.

I had similar issue (without streaming) on my own. Launcher sound was working fine, but game was muted.
The fix for me was to disable Nahimic service (it's a gaming sound enchancement service, but you don't really need it) and i had my sound back.
Now my issue isnt the same as yours, but worth a try

yeah ive tried that its been confusing, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt and there seems to be no logic to it

There's no real logic to how they run ME LE either - but we kind of knew that.

I had similar issues with Nier Replicant streaming on Discord - could be various issues all over.

yeah discord streaming is the issue here, also tried the Nahimic service thing, no dice

Is discord focused on the game itself?

I've noticed that sometimes I have to be loaded in the game fully - even playing it - before discord can get a proper "lock" on it.

yes ive tried streaming from both the auto focused option, and manually selecting the screen.

both yeild no results.

If anyone still having issues with this.
I found changing HDR from auto to off fixed sound issues for me.

Only had issues halfway through mass effect 3. Maybe an update caused the problem.

Not sure why HDR would cause no sounds but has been fine since turning it off

Well I have trouble running Mass effect legendary edition on my steam deck. The only issue is the audio. It completely cuts out I've looked all over people are talking about updating drivers and you guys here are talking about streaming issues. I've done everything I've seen that people say fixes it and nothing fixes it.
