Like, what are the space worms flying around the galaxy colonizing?
The thought I had is wondering how their very specific brand of apex predator has appeared over literally every arm of the mily way galaxy.
There are no different species traits, they can't travel through space themselves.
They either all miraculously independently evolved over every inch of the galaxy or they were intentionally spread around by an intelligent species.
Or..ofc..it's video game logic :P
They reproduce via spores that can lie dormant for millennia and are robust enough to survive prolonged periods in deep space and atmospheric re-entry. As a result, thresher maw spores appear on many worlds, spread by previous generations of space travelers.
It reads like an Aliens movie.
You would think the Council would authorize a genophage for these big beast.
It was meant as more satirical on the idea that they cause a lot of havoc although admittedly not as big as Krogan which I think you meant.
I now find it hard to think there aren't standardised "thresher spore scans" in the ME universe. but at least there is an attempt to explain it.
