Oops. Guess I shouldn't have given EA any idea. Oh well.
Anyway, May is still quite a long time away. It's not like MELE is going to run away.
Honestly there isn't. I mean I still want to see what improvements are made and what things have been altered in this remaster. I am not just referring to Miranda's camera angles. Those are shots of lens flare that seems to alter the original art. Like replacing the red sky with a clear blue sky on Eden Prime when Eden Prime isn't Earth.
I don't really care for mako changes in ME1. If I want to use a controller in ME1, there is a mod. Also there is texture and environmental mods available that are free. So not sure why anyone would spend 60 bucks when the mods that are available can make the game look just as good or even better.
Plus no camera cuts or shenanigans because people are too sensitive for a butt shot.
And anything is better than going back to throwing money away for a sub in SWTOR.
Maybe it will. Anthem was officially killed, Bloware might be taking a one-way trip to the EA landfill pretty soon...
On topic: agreed. There really is no point in pre-ordering a digital game that has infinite supply. Only exceptions i make are for Early Accesses. That are actively developed.
They are putting the resources into the next Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Fortunately, it sounds like none is going to another dead multiplayer MMO of theirs. Anthem was a waste of space.
The remaster was announced 3 months ago, all we know is the fact we are missing some content and the combat will be overhauled, I think...
I actually hope it does well but the industry seems to be in a real mess at the moment. I mean even Bethesda is in some kind of sale, 5 time game of the year award winners.
The only big offline video game seller is near bankrupt.
Google/Stadia starting and failing something like 5 games or what ever and now partly shut down.
Market manipulation off the charts for years over inflating parts of the indutsry, no fault of customers or video game workers.
New consoles stumbling out the door.
I honestly am not sure whats going on entirely, really, but i also really hope the best for video games because they got alot of unrelated trouble they didnt deserve.
When Electronic Arts was at something like 27.000.000.000/ 27 billion a while ago i knew that kind of money was a heavy burden for them, aside from the rest of the drama video games got. That kind of money may have made them a bit to over confident and alot of things.
Still wish them the best.
I'm still happy to go swimming - the fault of one game doesn't create the fault of another. especially if it's a different publisher/developer.
But I'd also check the temperature of the water before I dive into the pool.
And that's especially true if the water was so cold last time that I got a bad shock - 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.'
I got part 2 and 3 on Origin already and will get the Legendary Edition some day for sure.
Not in a rush for a few reasons though.
As games these are easily in the top 10 of games ever made. For sure. Tough to say exactly where in the top 10 though. Cant even comment on these games without mentioning the ending of 3 though, which sucks.....
