I disagree. Nobody is "crying", people are discussing valid criticism. The fact that there will be a sale at some point does not invalidate the discussion of the launch price at all.

And that is perfectly fine, there is no reason to cry about other people's criticism. If one disagrees just move on and do something else. Very simple, very straight forward.

The issue people have is not that they lack the money. One can have money and still have an opinion about an overpriced product. Those two are not mutually exclusive.

Ah yes, the "if they don't like the price it means they can't afford it" strawman. I could buy a 4k HDR 1000 monitor if i wanted to but don't because they're overpriced and you can buy a more capable HDR TV for less. Also the "muh gazillion DLC" is poor as well, all that needs to be said is that it's 3 full games remastered for the price of one game. Most of the DLC is irrelevant ♥♥♥♥♥.

No one is crying about anything.

You cannot dictate a price, it is a free market, simply do not purchase it, unlike NVIDIA and AMD price fixing here we have ten of thousands of games.

I am no saying I disagree, but on a business point of view it makes sense, it is PERFECTLY priced for consoles, they never mod it, never played on newer ones as it is not even retro compatible (as far as I know) definitely not moddable... so why on earth they should charge less of a segments that spend £500 for a bad GPU or £200 for a keyboard?

I mean it is not an indie even, it is EA...

Sure perhaps a £10 off the price would be more appropriate, but considering it all I understand the pricing (and I am not exactly an EA fan) and purchased it anyway as I think considering it all, it makes sense, PC is no one target platform.

However I respect (unlike most people, see Miranda's issue) other people opinion, however that won't change the largest corporate in gaming today, and even so price for the product is about right anyway.

"Crying" wasn't addressed to you, but there are people literally going crazy online for 10 bucks, I appreciate for many is another game, and that's why I said just wait for sale, especially when same people say that "it is just the original with mods" then buy the original and mod it :)

That's the concept...

What exactly a real man is something every person has to figure out for themselves and is as much subjective as it is objective. We might be able to have a stable discussion and come to a mutual understanding of common traits that we think men should be representing but the description I provided above of today's generation "man," while a gross characterization, is not a man by any definition and none of the way I described that characterization fit in with what would be considered a real man. We would be better served by describing, as I did, what a real man isn't.

A real man isn't a coward. A real man doesn't give in to peer pressure. A real man isn't afraid of words. A real man doesn't shy away from confrontation. A real man doesn't excuse the behavior of those around him. A real man doesn't make himself a victim.

Being a communist requires conformity and destruction of the individual. You cannot be an individual in a communist society and the ideology itself seeks to destroy and corrupt conventional and natural understandings of things like marriage, man and woman, parental roles, personal responsibility, history, family structures, religion, etc. All in pursuit of an absolute fantasy that has cost the lives of hundreds of millions of people across the world. No real man can exist within a communist society because there is no such thing as a man in a communist society. You are a drone expected to do as you are told without question no matter the cost to yourself. Communism is absolute authoritarianism ideology.

The concept of a "real man" is idiotic, though by your standards the men of the Red Army, who (along with women) took Berlin in 1945, weren't real men.

Well, considering communist are sub-human. This seems about right.

$60 is a bit steep for a remastered game. Then again we are getting all but one DLC addons. I suppose I find myself buying into the "re-experience" marketing strategy but then again i never played any of the addons - which i'm excited about.

All in all, it should be a fun experience.

I agree with OP.
It's way too expensive for this remastered / nexusmods train ride towards the worst ending in video game history. I don't even have Miranda's dumpster truck as company.

RAGE, Halo 2, and Half-life 2 had worse endings.

Yes but it's EA and expecting similar from them is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

If you're a PC gamer then this remaster is not much to get excited about but typically remasters like this are aimed at console gamers. They're only experience with these games is 720p at sub 30fps...So this is a huge upgrade for them.
lefty1117 May 11, 2021 @ 5:07pm
OP probably took launch day off from work to play it
Chell May 11, 2021 @ 5:21pm
I know I'm hoping work is slow enough that I don't need to go in this friday... and that will cost me a whole heck of a lot more than $60

lol
