Don't try to finish Citadel DLC on your insanity run as an Adept.
1. The fight is completely out of whack. Enemies around every corner, two snipers deleting your shields in less than 100 ms after poking your head out of cover, infinitely respawning enemies pushing down your position, a clone that can lock you down in a QTE animation where you are still vulnerable to gunfire, enemies spam grenades. Whoever programmed this clearly didn't think this through or even tried to make this remotely fair.

2. The UI is bugged, it won't show the remaining Medi-gels of your clone. Good luck guessing how long your fight is going to last.

3. Your male clone is making CAT6 hurt sounds whenever they get hurt. How did this get through QA?

Recommend you either completely avoid Citadel DLC on any insanity run. Finish the game first, then lower the difficulty and come back to the DLC after beating the game.

I am not on ME3 but this is by memory.

1. The fodder enemies always could keep spawning back in. You must focus on the clone. As an adept, you should be able to biotic explosion chain your way relatively easily.

2. I never remember seeing a medi-gel counter in the OG version.

3. I have no idea what you mean by CAT6 noises. I doubt you mean the ethernet cable standard.

The Citadel dlc has the most difficult fights in ME3. I actually found the most difficult part to be the beginning, where you have no shields. However, the end boss fight is doable without reloads. In fact, it is possible to do the entire dlc as an adept, on insanity, without any deaths.

This is not to say I don't feel your pain. In fact, the first time I tried this dlc on insanity as an adept, I was ready to break my keyboard and use the remains to smash my monitor to bits!

This fight was poorly balanced no doubt about it. An otherwise great DLC with a horrible final boss fight.

I have posted in EA's Answer HQ asking about the change. It looks like it's been applied to all difficulties. I'll be doing this on Insanity and don't know how I personally feel about it but it doesn't feel like a friendly change for people who struggle on lower difficulties (and yes, they exist) or people who can handle a challenge but have issues keeping track of numbers.

Wait there was a medigel counter?.. I don't remember seeing it.

CAT6 is the name of the merc enemies. There was a medigel counter, I've done this fight quite a bit on XBOX and PC.

Please, please submit things on https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mass-Effect-Legendary-Edition/bd-p/mass-effect-legendary-edition-en . It's the most visible forum for issues with the game where you can actually help them pinpoint issues where there are bugs and such. The more people who raise flags, the faster things get looked at.

I just played through the most yawnworthy section of an old save (and one with glitchy armour) to show the original counter.

The final boss of the Citadel DLC is the best boss fight in the series (closely followed by Vasir in ME2 Shadow Broker). Never liked Insanity in any Mass Effect game, tho. Enemies became so bullet-spongy it wasn't fun for me anymore.

Damn, I'm ashamed I completely missed this even though I replayed the game countless times. I guess I was too busy getting mauled by the clone...

I remember really struggling at the beginning of the DLC (the sequences before you meet up with your crew) but then changed up what I was doing... instead of hanging back and having them come at me (kept dying or running out of ammo) I simply sprinted past the lot of them to the next checkpoint and it worked first try...:-)
Citadel dlc on insanity is just a slog fest as any character that last battle on the deck is just obnoxious.

Thanks for that, completely forgot that was the merc group names for this DLC.

Yeah this fight is easily the second hardest in the game but honestly it's not that bad as an adept. You have so much CC available as an adept that the infinite adds always felt more like ammunition to me than a threat.

Every answer to insanity questions....

Be a Sentinel...overload and Warp are busted and can handle anything in the game.

I'm sorry Adept sucks at higher difficulties.
