Does Romancing Liara in ME2 count towards the achievement or do we have to romance someone else?

I dont think so. I could be wrong, although I believe the achievement is still bugged. I never got it in Mass Effect 2 for romancing Thane and had to go back and do it in Mass 1 for it to unlock.

Who knows maybe it will work for you. I just wouldn't keep my expectations too elevated if I was you. Best of luck.

I didn't want that either so I just used someone else's savefile for ME2 romance. Honestly thought that they will implement an achievement point for her LotSB romance in LE, buuut...

Romancing Liara never counted in the original ME2, and it still does not in ME2 Legendary.

Which is dumb because you can still hook up with her in ME2 so it should count as continuing the romance.

It's part of the Shadow Broker DLC tho, that's why it doesnt count.

If so that's amazing. I'm playing Fem Shep and there wasn't really anyone else I wanted to romance. If anything I guess I'll do Garrus, but hopefully I won't have to.

No... I am very skeptical that the two-weeks ago update (6/7) added new functionality into ME:Legendary that was never present in the og trilogy.

No... I am very skeptical that the two-weeks ago update (6/7) added new functionality into ME:Legendary that was never present in the og trilogy.

It's just a trigger. It's extremely easy to put it in to say this scene triggers the achievement. It's not like they are adding a whole new romance option. The option is already there so all they need to do it is make it count towards the achievement.
