Does this require always online?

I’m thinking about the steam deck and playing at work. But no WiFi access there. Is this one of those games that I can’t play if I’m not constantly online? Also I wanna know what the trend is these days for offline access.

You saying the game is failing when it isn't is you wanting it to fail.

Last voice from a distance... its a video game. Stop acting like you trying to cure cancer. Get rid Origin... news flash there are no good Triple A publishers and they all have their own launchers. We are lucky to even havr it available on Steam to begin with.

Andromeda sold just fine so it was a financial success and they didn't shut down the studio, they merged it with the other one. Considering that Bioware Montreal always was just a support studio for the main one it isn't something shocking.

Right, let's put the blame for EA's greed and utter lack of concern for their customers on nasty pirates - it's so easy to pitchfork a large mass of supposedly immoral, "evil" people who will not reply back, instead of fixing actual problems, like the quality of service, rehashing of old ideas, lack of originality, and exorbitant pricing.

If Origin is the reason you refuse to play Mass Effect you weren't very interested in the first place.

Just an update. I bought a GPD Micro PC and am playing all of my GOG games. But I still plan to keep my steam deck pre-order. So the point n clicks on GPD and then all the controller style games on the steam deck.
