10+ years old; so you mean older then original Mass Effect 3 or even Mass Effect 2?! Probably not! I remember I could play ME2+3 with my very old 2009. PC back in the day, but this remaster needs Win 10 and on 10+ year old PCs, I honestly don't know if it will run!
Also you get 3 modernised game with all the DLC for this price. I like to quote Shepard on this: "Are you naturally this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or is it just me?"
OK. I'm the Pope, y'al.
Just the improved ME1 is worth the current sale price. The old version was just too graphically ancient to play anymore for me. Realize you get all three remastered games with DLC content embedded in each game. Given it is only been out a few months, I think it is a great deal. Approx. $15 a game....
Just keep playing the old versions if the price does not feel right for you. They did honest work to improve the game and they expect a return on investment. America is all about money grubbing....you are probably money grubbing unless you are a trust fund baby.
You are always welcome to wait for a better deal.
You want to buy the rerelease of the game because of its better graphics, changes to gameplay etc.
But you claim you should be offered a sale for it. Or unhappy about the sale its on now. I dont actually know or care if its on sale now or not.
But there perfectly within their rights to charge what they charge for the legendary edition.
You do not think it provides enough changes updates graphic increase. dont buy it. Plain and simple.
But they worked on the game. They did ad updates in graphics and changes to the games. They are perfectly within their rights to charge what they charge.
You are perfectly within your rights to chose not to buy the game at all if you dont consider the legendary edition worth the money.
But you want to. Otherwise you wouldnt be complaining about the price. But the price of it isnt up to you.
The price of it is up to the owner of the product. YOur only decision is whether you feel its worth the asking price. If not dont buy it. If you do buy it. If your not happy with a sale wait for a better one.
I've seen this very odd sentiment before...;) Where does it come from? These games were never released as a package for $60...;) So this deal is much, much better than the original deal. Does this illuminate the situation a little better?
In another decade it will have been roughly 19 years since mass effect 3 was released. I am speaking of the games as a whole not this specific package. A semantic people seem to be going out of their way to ignore.
Unless the defenders of EA want to insist mass effect 1 came out only when this package was released on steam. Has never existed in any prior form. The games in this package are still the same games they were on release save they have the dlc included. It's still the same games repackaged in a new format.
People are free to defend this just as much as I am free to criticize what I see as a failing in my eyes.
- Combat has been touched up and noticeably so in ME1
- It includes all DLC bar one which many players didn't opt for when playing the originals so there's 'new' content there for many
- I wish to god I never played the originals and blindly bought this trilogy because it'd literally be the greatest video game investment of all time; if you explore every angle of the trilogy you're looking at 200+ hours of game time. Imagine how that feels if you're aw newcomer to the series.
- It's essentially £15-20 per remastered title when you break it down. Pretty negligible.
If the price bothers you that much, just wait for a publisher related sale on Steam. I'm sure it'll be half price or less by Christmas. Just how 'little' do you think the devs worked on this game for you to conclude it's worth much less? How much do you think Legendary Edition is worth?
