3 great mods for ME2 that everyone should install.
I copied this from reddit: (all credit goes to the person who posted this named katalysis)

For those of you playing LE on PC, there are quite a few great mods already on Nexus Mods, but I'm compelled to bring to your attention three recently released mods that I believe are an absolute must for a transformative yet canon ME2 experience.

Without further ado, these three mods are:

DLC timing mod[www.nexusmods.com]

Trigger Buttons[www.nexusmods.com]

Early Recruitment [www.nexusmods.com]

The three mods above are made by two veteran modders who worked together to ensure these mods are fully compatible with one another. Together, these mods enable the following experience:

Improves when Normandy Crash Site and LotSB unlock and allows one to choose when Overlord and Arrival unlock.

Allows one to choose when "ambush events" start, i.e. Horizon, Collector Ship, and post-IFF crew abduction.

Opens Tali's recruitment, Illium recruitments, and, if Wrex survives ME1, Tuchanka as soon as you have Normandy (Tali recruitment delayed for two recruit/loyalty missions for better immersion).

As someone who usually only downloads mods that fix bugs, these seem rather drastic, but trust me: these mods create a superior canon playthrough.

Tali has a TON of dialogue for all the early recruitment missions and Horizon. Bring Tali to Garrus's recruitment and choose her to protect him for some "just like old times" feels, and bring Tali to Horizon for your Virmire survivor to talk to her. It's amazing.

With these mods, my Shepard's actions after gaining control of the Normandy make actual sense:

Because TIM informs Shepard that Wrex is on Tuchanka and Liara is on Illium, when she gets control of the Normandy, she turns down TIM and Miranda's suggestions to recruit Mordin immediately, and instead goes to Tuchanka and Illium to try to find Wrex and Liara, only to discover that they've moved on.

Resigned, she goes to the Citadel to visit the Council, only to find that they won't help. On the way, Kasumi aggressively and quite literally advertises herself as a recruit, which gets her onboard the Normandy, and Shepard helps her out with her heist. Now that Shepard was seen on Tuchanka, Illium, and by Anderson and the Council on the Citadel, Hackett catches wind that Shepard is alive and sends her an email about the Normandy's crash site.

With Wrex and Liara having moved on, no sign of Garrus, Tali unavailable, and with the Council decidedly unhelpful, Shepard finally comes to terms with the fact that her old team, her old ship, and her old life aren't coming back. She goes to the Normandy crash site to mourn the SR1 but also in a way to say goodbye to her old team and their adventures. She then begrudgingly returns to Omega, as TIM and Miranda first suggested, where she runs into Zaeed. She helps Zaeed with getting Zorya out of the way (so they can focus on being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heroes), after which she is delighted to hear that Tali is ready for recruitment.

Shepard recruits Tali, and they resume recruiting Mordin, Garrus, Grunt, etc. etc.

It's all so wonderful! And later in the game, I can do Reaper IFF as soon as possible to get Legion, which allows me to take Legion to loyalty missions, including Tali's, without having to worry about the abduction!

Here I was expecting mods that actually do something important to fix the game like FOV mod or the instant scanning mod.

Instead I get a mod that accomplishes the exact same thing as me just choosing not to play the DLCs until I feel like it. A mod that defeats the entire purpose of the "ambush" missions and ruins immersion. And a mod that essentially rewrites portions of the story like some terrible fan fiction.

Single player game......who cares how other people decide how to play.

Welcome to PC gaming. Resident Evil 2 you can turn Mr. X into Thomas the Train...very immersive.

At least Thomas the Train actually changes the content of the game through.

I mean the purpose of the first mod in this post is to allow you to delay doing DLC missions that can already be delayed by just choosing not to play them until you feel like. The mod literally simulates having basic self control.

I take the mod as being able to play the game at your own pace. Ex.....Reaper Iff not being a soft point of no return. IMO the mod is correcting how it should be in the game.

You are free to miss out on several dialogue options that were included in the game because the devs couldn't fit all of the content onto a single xbox disk, and an overall more canonical experience, if you wish. But I think most fans will enjoy these options.

Also playing as Tali early and taking her to horizon, she has a lot of dialogue that you can't get without modding the game.

And all of the Legion dialogue you can get by taking him on loyalty missions. These mods just restore those possibilities.

Buddy, altering when you can recruit people is actually returning the game to its original, intended state. The reason they are currently padlocked behind certain events is simply because the Xbox couldn't handle it and they needed to split the game into two discs, so the first few recruitment missions are on disc one and the second few recruitment missions are on disc 2.

The game was intended for you to be able to recruit anybody from the get go.

Chill out, its a good recommendation that allows for better role playing as it gives the player more options. As for the DLC being delayed, can you read? It says you can choose when you get them, presumably that means you can choose to get them just as early as vanilla or even earlier.

You don't come off as a troll at all. You seem like an okay guy.

I erased it as to not derail the topic but my point is that people of all IQ levels can enjoy these mods. Whether it's 80 or 180 if you're a mass effect fan you'll get value out of it.

I erased mine too in the same spirit then, even if there is another sly insinuation that I have a low IQ. Honestly don't know what I did to piss you off.

Best mod I ever installed for ME2 removed the shared power cooldown. Not sure if it's been updated for MELE tho.

I think I saw that on the LE nexus page.
