Help? roof walls

I'v been playing for a long time but I still cant find the way to put logs on roof walls!
It looks like there is 2 log space but it looks like the game wont alow me to put any size of log!

Maybe make a screenshot so we understand what you want.

You can put logs on the gable-end of a 1 x 1 log roof, i.e., a diagonal roof that goes one log horizontally and one log vertically. You can also do it for a 1 x 1/2 roof, i.e., a diagonal roof that goes one log horizontally and one-half log vertically. The game allows both those triangular spaces to fill nicely, auto-cutting the logs to the proper length. Any other roof configuration just doesn't work (sadly). I've tried 1 x 1/4 and 1 x 3/4; that's a big "nope", good buddy.

I'v tried to fit every single size log and there is no like option to put your log there

Just build a T inside the house with Logs, then use logs to use half log cuts for the roof. It's not that hard.

yeah but side walls are gonna stay open again it doesnt fix anything
