Solo or Co-op for new player better?
Right now im not sure what to do , i want to start play but maybe the experience is better when playing with a teammate .

Should i just hop in the game solo and play , is it enjoyable alone , or wait to find someone and start off like this.

By the way how duo works , Host needs to be on so other can join right .

Or people join dedicated servers that stay up 24/7

Start solo, that will pause the game when you Esc into menu or open inventory, makes it a bit easier for beginners.
You can always copy your savegame over in multiplayer folder later if you want to invite a friend in your world.

And yeh, you need to start a host and be online for someone else to join your game.

Finish the game solo so you dont get any spoilers

I'd say first play through should be solo for the immersion and fear factor, pacing and discovery. I would recommend that if you are familiar with the first game, and or survival games in general (Green Hell, DayZ, Stranded Deep, Project Zomboid or more current examples) that you put the game on the highest difficulty for those elements. If combat isn't your thing fair enough. This will also encourage you to build and immerse in the survival aspect a bit more than the default, which is what I'm playing for my 1st time through. The discovery and story bits are really cool and might suffer from a co-op buddy spoiling or rushing straight into. I've had a great time with the game so that is my feedback to you so far.

solo will help you learn the game if you're new to this type of game. In multi-player there is no pause, even when you're playing alone.

Solo pauses when infentory is open, as well as with the esc menu. Mulitplayer never pauses, not on escape, not on alt tab, not in inventory ... it can be a lot harder.

Added:
A good example - I built near a cave in multiplayer and there are times when I want to craft several things that I go into the cave so I have 15 minutes with no enemies near by so I can craft. If I try to do it out in the wilds away from my base I will often be perswasively detered from my activity by a rock to the back of the head.

I'll be straight to the point and honest with you. Playing solo in this game is boring. Solo is a boring slog. You'll have a lot more fun playing with a friend or two. You can run a SOTF dedicated server somewhere and anyone can connect to play on it at anytime.

Both have pros and cons.
Starting the game solo can be better and more relaxing, since you can take yourself all the time you need to figure everything out, without having teammates that are in a rush.

On the other side, playing with others can be easier, and together with good friends, also more enjoyable.

So if you've got some mates you already know, that have the same playstyle like you and also don't know the game yet, play with them.

If you have to rely on randoms, its better if you start solo.

So long story short, play the game with friends because playing solo is a slog.

No. wrong.
Long story short is both have advantages and disadvantages, and it's up to OP which he prefers.

We both know they will likely get bored like most players who've played this game solo. The map is empty, the caves are linear and there's really nothing to do or see in the world, other than building and staring at buildings only they will get to play with or see. XD

It's more fun to watch a friend get obliterated, running around, etc. in multiplayer. That's the only thing that really brings any semblance of excitement and fun to this game. Everything else is droll and dull.

Full squad is great if you've got the right teammates - especially for horde modes. That's just my opinion though. I totally get that some don't like more than a duo.

I don't recommend coop for the first time play for several reasons:

1. Can sometimes get unwanted spoilers through talking or discovering things you haven't yet discovered.

2. The game is not as scary nor challenging with multiple people.

3. Its easier to go at your own pace in solo. Whereas in coop you have to agree on doing certain things in certain places.
