how to make a 2nd story in stone?

currently trying 2 build a castle out of stone, and i really don't want to put support beams in the middle of its rooms. how do i make a roof and a 2nd story with stone?

You have to use logs to support the stone floor, but then after your floor is completed, you go below it, and add stone struts across each way on each end, then you can start removing logs. If a log sticks, but you know you have support, just hit that bad boy with your axe/hatchet to knock it loose and remove it, and the stone floor will stay standing. I just did this and make a massive stone tower with nothing but stones left over.
