How long is the game in terms of content to do? Is there a gameplay loop that you can just do considering it's a crafting-survival?

I looked it up on HLTB, and it says around 12 hours for the story and maybe 20 hours if you do other stuff.

A friend who played the game remarked that maybe since 1.0 is coming they'll expand the story by an extra 10 hours.

I have not followed the game since launch but only wishlisted it since I wanted to wait for 1.0.

wait for a discount. you get around 20-30 hours out of it unless you like building pointless bases for no real reason.

In all honesty if you play the game how its SUPPOSE to be experienced, this game can have upwards of up to 60-80 hrs of content.
The story at the moment? Is maybe like 5 hours yes ( but that is because its UNFINISHED lol )

The map is HUGE, and will have a ton of points of interest, gruesome scenes, and secrets to find.
Anyone who says the game "lacks content", lacks imagination and fun.
Cant tell me otherwise

and P.S, the "base building is useless argument" is actually so stupid that ppl even listen to it. Base building isn't suppose to be something useful XDD. Its suppose to be fun, and something to do where after you can say. "Damn, hell yeah. I just built this fkn place and now I get to use it"

If you do the shortest, most optimal critical path through the story, you can probably do it in less than 10 hours.

But the fun part of the game is just wandering around, exploring, f**king around and finding out. There is a lot of optional stuff that isn't marked on the map.

Took me and my brother 12hrs to do pretty much everything and finish the story, but that was at launch so I don't know about now.

game lost a lot of what made the 1st one unique, alas 10-15h max before you're bored to tears. So glad I refunded it lol.

Besides the storyline, my favourite gameplay loop is:

Ride Knight V around until I find a cannibal camp. Smash cannibal camp. Build my own base where the cannibal camp used to be.

There are 51 cannibal camps, so it's gonna take a while to smash all of them. :)
