Cant deconstruct log cabin

Title, I have minimal framing left with one log across the top, everything is returning a red flashing X and can't hit anything aside from a small section of the base, which I hit for a good 5 minutes and nothing happened. Am I the only one with this issue? Everyone says its easy to deconstruct but Im finding it anything but easy.

Happen to me once. The game thought a lonly standing log was supporting something.
Just hit it with the axe until it come off.

Some weird stuff certainly does happen.

Stuff I have done that helps in some circumstances include:
The repair hammer.
Bashing down an errant log with the axe.
Adding an extra support log/s, or half log arch support, cross beam support temporarily, then try again.
Logging out and back in.

If the game is working correctly. when you get the 'x' it means that is supporting something. I have had a bug before that gave a 'x' where the log clearly wasn't supporting anything, but the bugs have been not much of an issue. You should be able to destroy it though, check in your settings that you have structure damage on. try throwing a grenade at it(save before) you should know if that log will ever be destroyed.

Grenade or time bomb also works. Just be prepared to dodge flying logs.

Walk up to wall floor or ceiling press hold C and pickup a log drop it away.

If you Play on MP there is sometime a Bug that you can't deconstruct or Pick Up stuff. Only when someone Else destroys it you can then build it again xx.

And in SP it has the strangest stuff. When it is Not a "Bug", even a beam from another Side or so can make the Log you want to remover a "supporting" Log ... This Game is Just such a Buggy mess.
