Wood vs Stone
Is there any specific advantages to building with stone? It feels more tedious to collect and build with so I would hope there's some kind of trade off or advantage to building with stone vs wooden logs.

But in the first game, I don't think rock walls gave much advantage over wooden ones. Was still pretty tedious to do even though rocks were everywhere and spawned constantly in the first game. Here, we gotta run to rivers to get stone in any quantity. I feel like if we're going to take the trouble, it should have a trade off: more durable and resistant to damage while not having wood's versatility (defensive walls.)

I was hoping that using stone-build structures will at least *suppose* to make our base more durable over wood.

Not to mentioned that it also suppose to able us to feel warm during winter.

If you want to efficiently collect stone in this game, you almost have to use the Unlimited zipline mod and get it from different places. This mod completely overshadows vanilla ziplenie and is much better for such a big map, vanilla zipleni is a hassle and very tedious.

I put a fireplace in my cabin and it seems to warm the entire building. Though granted, the cabin isn't very big, but it also has a bunch of windows and the overall radius seems bigger than what a fire would provide normally.

That doesn't answer what the trade offs between materials is. Also, I would prefer the tediousness issue be addressed by Endnight without the need for mods. It is early access so now's the time to make such QoL changes.

It's probably less likely to fail given they'll maybe knock out one stone instead of an entire log. There's more hitboxes the enemies have to go for when you construct with stone. That said I just turned off structure damage and left it that way.
