Trainer question

Dear community,

does anyone use a trainer for Sons of the Forest. Specially one from Fling? Normally these worked perfect with many (offline!) games. I used it mostly for activating the debug console for using the "loghack on" command.

Since the last update it won't work for me. Some options like changing the day lengh, jump height, food and hunger are working fine, just the debug console is broken. If I try to activate it the game is paused, but no console will appear and there will be no field for typing something.

Cheatstick is not an option. I tried it several times, with open and closed inventory, with US,- and GB-English keyboard, with pressing enter, F1 and F10 after writing but it won't work for me.

That's actually quite normal that cheat tools such as trainers and so on break from one game version to another as the developers are adding and changing a lot.

Usually I would have suggested using AMM for YUMI from modapi.survivetheforest.net but this one also requires an update.

So for now the only thing I can suggest is using the cheatstick option. It's actually fairly easy because all it needs is the keyboard layout set for "English (United States)" added to your windows10/11's keyboard language sets. So when in the game I use the hotkeys I defined in w10/11 for switching keyboard sets. in my case alt+left shift and when I switch from my german keyboard language set to English (US) I simply type in cheatstick when in the game and F1 works like a charm. All you need to do is type that in while in an active game session, standing around. Of course your char will move a bit but that doesn't prevent it from working.

when I did what you said, nothing will happen, just the inventory got opened. Keyboard is US and I typed it standing inside a house, walking a little bit around (step forward, and side) and then the inventory got opened (i). F1 and F10 pushing after won't help too. Are there any txt. files where I have to change something?

Are you hitting enter after you type it? Cuz that'll make it not work.

Yes, nothing worked anymore. :(
