So answer is yes, I've still faith in Endnight.

Well, recent Unity policy just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. About time devs get screwed for the heavy 3D games they chose Unity for. Just as we get screwed.
Most of my issues with this game is the platform that's unable to handle the game Endnight have in mind. It's still in EA and being built, just like The Forest was when i fell in love with it. But Unity man...
And the funny part is that I was infact a bit sceptical at first because imo it ain't like the origianl TF was some sort of marvelous, god-tier, perfect game.
it had a lot of things lacking in it, so i've had a lot of wants not satisfied then and things that made me wonder "why" are all still in this one.
SOTF solved nothing over TF imo, added some crap that is broken and that's about it.
it was then also a big eyebrow-raise when the things Endnight "said" they would try to do & add (things i didn't even ask for) were major let downs and just like you, i also don't wanna hear anything from these forest youtubers anymore.
it's a busted, stupid game sequel , a one trick pony. except 2nd time around the pony didn't do it's trick at all as it's entire appeal was interesting at first but the "new" is off of it.
And honestly if I could still refund the game now I would, without hesitation.
I found it very bad when it came out but I said to myself "maybe a miracle can happen and with many updates it will be nice", but there's no hope since then, I'm going back from from time to time check the updates out of curiosity but there would be WAY too many things to change (especially in the foundations of the game) for me to find the game and the work of the devs at least interesting.
I don't need an answer, at this point I give up this game anyway. There are far too many good games out there, no need to waste my time with SotF.
I dont think the game is as bad as people complain about. After all the updates at least its pretty decent for a small studio and compared to other survival games.
I hope before the big release that there is some giant update, but perhaps thats a copium at this point.
As for Farket, Couldn't care less. Not only was i fully aware he can fanboy long before the game ever released, he also mentioned the involvement of an NDA so was likely limited in what he even COULD say about the game. Since the game's release I've seen far more criticisms from him than I saw beforehand. I got the sense he was just as hopeful as the rest of us, just far more in the public eye as one of the incredibly few sources of info the game actually had available to find.
They took a great game (The Forest) and turned it into a sequel of garbage and trash that I wouldnt recommend to a worm. Endnight to me, is a swear word. I will NEVER buy anything from these guys ever again. I will NEVER recommend any of their games to even my worst enemy.
Cmon now. Also, I hate to keep pointing this out. But Star Citizen exists and nothing will ever come close to their scam.
odd wording there bud.
more like endnight didn't show up at all, to their own party no less KEKW
Because they worked on the title longer then expected? Or is it because it diddnt meet expectations?
Either way, I got my monies worth and it was a meh sequel at best. I diddnt hate it, nor do i love it. Curious to see where the next title goes and I'll probably pick it up.
At this point however, personally, my biggest problem with this game is the local forum janitor that just loves his random snipping.
Thankfully, through 25 years of games promising the world in their trailers and then delivering on virtually none of it, I wasn't foolish enough to assume that this would be the one and only game that actually gave me the world, so I don't feel lied to. Like with nearly every video game ever, they wanted to do a billion things, and not everything made it in. What did make it in is still pretty fun and I enjoyed my time with it, and unlike most early access games, they actually kept improving it instead of taking the money and running like most do.
Id trust Endnight over Blizzard any day of the week, Ill tell you that much.
