A Random gen map 'would' be nice but would be an entirely separate thing to be thought on and best put on the back burner till well after full release.
The point made above about not pairing well with keeping a story pieced together I"m definitely in agreement with, though depending on the story type a game like Diablo does generate maps. The difference is those maps are much less in depth than what this island has involved, and we'd likely see a lot more graphics errors around things like waterfalls and streams, and there may also be spots that you'd just get stuck and not be able to jump/climb out of.
Maybe it could be added as a separate mode even which would make players pretty happy they were getting value for money.
