rotten legs are edible?

if you throw a rotten leg it suddenly becomes raw i don't know if its just the leg i haven't checked.

i think all human limbs do this, no clue why but eating human limbs is kinda useless anyway because fish exist and are easier to kill than people

I had similar happen at the beach with rotten meat and fish.. I was just discarding some and tossed into the ocean at the shoreline and they became fresh again. Tried to repeat with stream and didn't work. That was after patch 4 though, not patch 5. Haven't tried since.
