Have 1 peaceful that was just for playing around with the building mechanic.. F1 > Up Arrow > Enter.. if the build is big enough, just spawn more where you're working and don't worry about the despawn.
Now when you're chopping them down in a console free game.. pay close attention cause that tree regrow probably won't keep up with chop and allowing despawns.

This will spawn 50 logs. If you're doing this inside a building, I recommend typing in: godmode on
First cause as those logs find a place to go, you're gonna take damage. If you do this in the open, they'll just spawn in front of you. You can spawn sticks, rocks, shotgun shells, any item really. You can spawn multiple Kelvins and have Butler Kelvin, Jammies Kelvin and WinterCoat kelvin all running around at once.
There are numerous websites with the item list. I will only recommend this for players wishing to primarily build and not have the full experience of the game. I did a separate game in peaceful for this to play around with the building mechanics without souring my main games.
You're welcome. I think Rock Paper Shotgun has one page about it and there's another on IGN that has the item ID's list. As new things become available, you may need to search specifically like "Sons of the forest "item name" Item ID" and then should get a pop on what the # is.
