Anyone actually managed to place a radio AND turn it on?

I've tried everything I can think of, but still cannot find a way to place a radio on a table and get the stupid thing to play music or change channels. Has anyone managed to do this? Do I have to assign a certain key-combo? This is driving me nuts.

Yeah, press R (reload) to place it. Then you have to HOLD down the E (pickup) key to start the music playing. If you tape E it'll pick it back up again.

Unfortunately there's no way to change channels once you've placed it.
