Can not load save

I was exploring Cave D, the really big one with the rifle in it (I think), and realized I had not saved in a bit, like a few hours, so I plopped down a tarp created a save in the cave and continued to explore. I got absolutely jumped and ended up dying, but now when I go to load my save I just fall through the map and can not do anything. Anybody have any ideas on what I could do?

You might try changing your location via save editor. there's one at Nexus

Hello, backups are stored in c: \AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\.........\SinglePlayer\, you can use an older save status there.
delete your current one and add an older one
and insert an older one. pay attention to the date and time when the backup was created, so you can see approximately when you went into the cave. hope this helps you. lg

I never realized this could happen I have seen it happen if I press ESC key and don't come back and continue
