Do plants in planters regrow after winter?

I've set up for a slow game. 90 days per season knowing winter will have it's disadvantages. Was curious if my game is still going after winter if the garden I have built will regrow or need fresh seeds

My experience says it's regrow if cannibals not run on it, you not hit it with weapon or log. Also it regrow on that state was before winter,

Correct. The growing is paused during winter but will normally continue when spring hits.
No re-planting required!
