The Forest has always had that replay-ability that other games just can't achieve for me.
I've sunken easily 1000+ hours into The Forest (several accounts), and I'll be doing the same for SOTF
As for OP's question - I personally don't enjoy Green Hell as much as I do The Forest, although I only spent a couple hours playing it.
It also have a building system that require you to spend some time but overall it's good.
Lots of people find the game hard at the beggining due to the survivability details but once you learn them it becomes an easy game
The only thing that I don't like is how you unlock the craftings... /spoiler I see lots of people find the game hard because they don't know they can make an armor and I don't blame them bc the game doesn't tell you that you can make it, you have to look it up somewhere or try luck
