You can't put a stick down on rafts so I doubt you can make a tent.
Well that's quite the downgrade compared to The Forest.
I only have 2 house boats and that comical large raft floating around my sea base.
But despite of being a bit annoyed about the speed, I didn't even think of building on it. :O
Edit:
Just a quick amendement.
You can build stuff on the boat, but only blueprinted structures.
You can even create a fireplace, but you are not allowed to switch to a "standing stick" as posted by the OP.
So there seems to be no easy method of making a boat traceable.
In the original, every bedroom had the option to be a marker.
It's a pitty that there is no option to place a GPS tracker on a boat. :(
I've tried constructing some blueprint stuff and place a stick on top of it, but that didn't do the trick either.
Correct. Only blueprints. Standing skull lamps were a blueprint in the first game. Beds also had a marker on them if the first one. Maybe they can add that back in at some point.
