build on rafts
Can you build on rafts or is it like the first game were you cant add more structures onto the raft and only smaller items made out of sticks like shelves and other storage and items?

the small rafts are the same as the forest so i would guess the others are the same. below is what i used to build in the forest at the beginning of the game. 4 water collectors, 2 meat racks, bed and fire. a portable base that's quick to make at the beginning of the game. just put down all the blueprints before you build anything.

From what I've seen on Youtube... you can add items like Log Holders, Lights, Beds, Chairs, etc.
No placing extension platforms, Logs or Stones.

Youtube has lots of videos on it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKt9w23QwKw

Looks like the Platforms snap to the side of it, not onto it. For perfectly levelled Platforms... 2:50 in the Youtube video.

I did a similar thing with the House Boat in Sons. I added bed, fire, (3) window planters, (3) shelves. And on the roof I added (2) birdhouses, (2) water collectors, (1) stick holder, (1) arrow holder. There is still plenty more room up top as well. May add some meat racks and/or see if a spear launcher will fit!

put a clock on the houseboat... stone fireplace inside, water catchers and planters on the top and some firewood, mounted a few animals on the side, and some torches and skull lamps. A large rabbit breeder will fit inside on the bottom or on the top, but I can't be hassled to feed the things.

You can't build anything using large logs however, at least on the houseboat. What you see is what you get when it comes to the building itself. The inside keeps you warm.

Don't like how seagulls swarm drying racks making a racket so they go away from anything and I put the dried food on the shelves.

Approx at the 50 second mark.

You can only build blueprint items.
They should have at least allowed to attach standing sticks.
Skull lamps, torches and fences / spikes could then be constructed.
But especially the GPS tracker stick would be amazing.

I think there is a good chance they will do that. In the original standing skull lamps were a blueprint and could be put on rafts. I'm not a programmer by any means but I think the simple solution would be to add blueprints for these items.

Well, they already added blueprints for defensive walls.
Despite it's weird having both options available (blueprint and free-build), I guess it would really be the easiest solution. :wellok:
